 | About Me | Oct 1, 2007 |
I am a very passionate person once I set my mind into something. I love goals and I do as much as I can to attain it. I love to travel, makes me learn a lot about other people and what comprises them. I love driving, more like out of town trips. I love the beach. The water is my life. It keeps my sanity in tact. I am a creature of habit. Once I feel safe and at home, I don't mind doing it over and over again. C: I am a greenhorn in underwater photography. I know the world is so full of accomplished photographers and I doubt if it needs another one but I would like to learn and would like to consider photography as something I can call my own. I would like to think I’m a little above average and have a lot to offer in this field. As of the moment, I shoot with a Canon Powershot G9 housed by Ikelite together with Ultralight tray and arms and lit up by Inon Z-240. For my wet lenses I use Inon Macro Lens and Epoque Wide Angle Lens. I hate reading manuals and instructions especially the ones with very, very tiny font size. I would rather have somebody show it to me. I misspell words most of the time and funny thing is, they’re the ones that are commonly used. | Photos | |

My dear monsters:
Have you ever imagined how it feels like to be a cast away?...Have you ever tried counting green sea turtles popping left and right while you are chilling in the convenience of a hammock in front of your hut?...How about close encounters with some hawks bill turtle underwater that will make you feel like you are paying the turtle to pose for you?...How about a lousy house reef dive with a school…no a university of surgeon fish circling around you and then come across with a friendly gang of Bullheads the size of an eight-seater dining table…each!?...and lastly, have you ever been in the position that you are nautically 2 hours boat ride away to the second best dive site in the Philippines?! … I DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! … And now is your chance for us to be mutual!
We herewith present…an affair to remember…”The Pandan Island Escapade” the first dive safari for 2008! Clear your calendars and block off January 24-27, 2008.
Down boy! Relax now! … To answer your tooooo many whys and hows and whats…let us get down to it...
• Why January 24-27? – based on the fact that these are the only dates that the Island can accommodate us as they are fully booked upto the last weekend of summer 2008 (not unless we go and welcome the typhoons of July…not fun... ) It is simply January peak = Cold Water = Manta, need I say more? • Where is Pandan Island? – …go check their website you lazy ass www.pandan.com • How do we get there? – as you may have browsed the several possibilities to reach the Island, from a flamboyant-ultra-fashion (read as pashowwwwn!) arrival via Seaplane to simply practical-reasonable-sensible-rational-logical-sound-smart but comfortable way <- so we choose this one …simply we park in Batanggas port then Roro-your-boat to Abra de Ilog then road trip to Sablayan bay then boat to Pandan…gosh! Details as you read on, promise… • Mantas in Pandan? – nope, we go to APO REEF (yes, this is the second best dive site in the Philippines) as the highlight of this Adventure However, there are some sightings of Whale sharks during this times around the Island, but then again, let us leave the nature to impress us.
